THE JUNCTION

A neighbourhood that has finally arrived, The Junction is home to some of the city's most interesting furniture shops, espresso bars, restaurants and live music venues. It’s one of my go-to locales for someone craving a rustic artistic vibe. Rapid gentrification has meant new chic restaurants and bars have opened up along Dundas Street, attracting young people, while lower rents make the neighbourhood appealing to

artists. Some of my favourite destinations are Crema and The Good Neighbour for a fashionable cafe experience and a smooth creamy latte or The Dirty Food Eatery for a hearty brunch. And for a Mexican taco fix, Playa Cabana Cantina is the best! The lots in this community are tiny, but there’s something special about the neighbourhood that have made residents very loyal. With a surplus of vacated industrial space bringing warehouse loft conversion possibilities, some see The Junction as the next hip and hot neighbourhood of the city.
